Within 14 days of purchase, you may request a full refund of your MetaClean Web Pro, Team, or Enterprise License. No questions asked.

We offer this policy because we trust our product. We want you to have enough time to test upload detection, metadata scrubbing, and paid-tier features on the file types you use.

Requesting a refund is simple. Please follow these steps:

    • The email address used for purchase.
    • (Optional) Reason for refund — your feedback helps us improve the product.

We reserve the right to deny refunds to users who frequently purchase and refund (i.e., abuse the refund policy). If you purchase and refund more than twice, we may restrict your eligibility to purchase paid licenses in the future.

If you request a refund after a price reduction, the refund amount will be based on the amount you actually paid — we do not make up the difference. We do not refund price differences due to promotions, early-bird pricing, or coupon codes.

8.1 Technical Issues

If you are considering a refund due to technical issues, we recommend contacting us first via email (support@zhangyuanbo.top). Many issues can be resolved with settings adjustments or license rebinding, and we are happy to help.

8.2 Duplicate Purchases

If you accidentally purchased the same paid license twice, please contact us immediately. We will refund the duplicate purchase.

8.3 Fraudulent Purchases

If you discover an unauthorized purchase (e.g., your payment method was used by someone else), please contact us and your payment institution immediately. We will assist with the refund upon verification.

8.4 Cannot activate license (device switch / reinstall)

If you cannot activate after switching computers or reinstalling, you likely did not deactivate on this device on the old setup first. Email us with your License Key — we can usually reset the binding without a refund. Always deactivate your license before uninstalling the Extension.

8.5 Metadata removal limitations

Some files — especially encrypted or password-protected PDFs, scanned documents, or uncommon formats — may not expose all metadata or allow complete removal. The Extension shows what it can read and scrub. If upload detection and scrubbing work on the supported formats you use, partial limits on complex files alone are not grounds for a refund. Contact us first if you have other concerns.
