We believe you'll love MetaClean Web. If a paid license (Pro, Team, or Enterprise) does not meet your expectations, we offer a simple, risk-free refund guarantee.
1. 14-day money-back guarantee
Within 14 days of purchase, you may request a full refund of your MetaClean Web Pro, Team, or Enterprise License. No questions asked.
We offer this policy because we trust our product. We want you to have enough time to test upload detection, metadata scrubbing, and paid-tier features on the file types you use.
2. Refund Eligibility
Refunds are available under the following conditions:
- You submit your refund request within 14 days of purchase.
- You provide a valid License Key or proof of purchase (such as the purchase confirmation email from Creem).
- The refund request comes from the original purchaser.
The following may not qualify for a refund:
- The purchase was made more than 14 days ago.
- The same License Key has already received a refund (one refund per License Key).
- The License Key was purchased through unauthorized channels (such as third-party resale platforms).
- Refund requested solely because metadata could not be read or fully removed from encrypted PDFs, password-protected documents, or other complex formats, when the Extension otherwise works for your supported file types.
3. How to Request a Refund
Requesting a refund is simple. Please follow these steps:

- Your License Key (found in Extension Settings).
- The email address used for purchase.
- (Optional) Reason for refund — your feedback helps us improve the product.
- Wait for processing: We will review and process your refund request within 3–5 business days.
4. Refund Processing
- Refunds will be returned via the original payment method. Refunds are processed by Creem (our payment provider and Merchant of Record).
- The time it takes for the refund to reach your account depends on your payment method and bank, typically 5–10 business days.
- Once the refund is processed, you will receive a refund confirmation email from Creem.
5. Effects After Refund
After the refund is processed:
- Your paid license (Pro, Team, or Enterprise) will be revoked.
- The Extension will automatically revert to Free-tier functionality.
- Locally stored settings and templates on your device will not be deleted. Free-tier features remain available.
- Paid-tier features (PDF and Office scrubbing, unlimited batch, custom templates, audit reports, Team/Enterprise device limits, etc.) will no longer be accessible; repurchasing a license restores access.
6. Repeat Refunds
We reserve the right to deny refunds to users who frequently purchase and refund (i.e., abuse the refund policy). If you purchase and refund more than twice, we may restrict your eligibility to purchase paid licenses in the future.
7. Price Changes & Refunds
If you request a refund after a price reduction, the refund amount will be based on the amount you actually paid — we do not make up the difference. We do not refund price differences due to promotions, early-bird pricing, or coupon codes.
8. Special Circumstances
8.1 Technical Issues
If you are considering a refund due to technical issues, we recommend contacting us first via email (support@zhangyuanbo.top). Many issues can be resolved with settings adjustments or license rebinding, and we are happy to help.
8.2 Duplicate Purchases
If you accidentally purchased the same paid license twice, please contact us immediately. We will refund the duplicate purchase.
8.3 Fraudulent Purchases
If you discover an unauthorized purchase (e.g., your payment method was used by someone else), please contact us and your payment institution immediately. We will assist with the refund upon verification.
8.4 Cannot activate license (device switch / reinstall)
If you cannot activate after switching computers or reinstalling, you likely did not deactivate on this device on the old setup first. Email us with your License Key — we can usually reset the binding without a refund. Always deactivate your license before uninstalling the Extension.
8.5 Metadata removal limitations
Some files — especially encrypted or password-protected PDFs, scanned documents, or uncommon formats — may not expose all metadata or allow complete removal. The Extension shows what it can read and scrub. If upload detection and scrubbing work on the supported formats you use, partial limits on complex files alone are not grounds for a refund. Contact us first if you have other concerns.
9. Free Version
The Free tier is completely free — no registration required, no credit card needed. It includes image metadata scrubbing for up to 3 files per batch. If you are unsure whether a paid license is right for you, try the Free tier first. We believe that once you see what your files reveal, you will want to upgrade.
